One of our most-loved comedians, Carl Barron has headlined every major comedy club and festival around the world. Like many in the live entertainment industry, Carl felt the impact of COVID19 with the re-scheduling of his Skating Rink for Flies tour.

The great news is that tickets are back on sale with tickets available for shows in Newcastle (October), Canberra (August) and Brisbane (October). If you held tickets to previous shows these will be honoured for the new show dates.

As he prepares for the tour, we caught up, very briefly, with Carl to see how he was coping in isolation and what he was looking forward to.

What have you been doing with yourself during lockdown?

Playing croquet every day, bloated.

What are you most looking forward to about performing live again?

I like room-service, I feel like a king.

Have there been any positives to come out of this period for you or the industry?

I’ve written more and ate more deserts without the guilt.

With the restrictions on international travel set for some time, will 2021 be the year of celebrating great Aussie talent?

What else are we going to do? I can’t keep eating.

To get us in the mood for his upcoming tour, we’ve included three of clips of some of Carl’s most loved moments below.

Tickets are on sales now for the Skating Rink for Flies tour.
