American musician, singer and author – Belinda Carlisle, was born in Los Angeles on August 17 1958. Belinda’s claim to fame arose when she was the lead singer for successful all-female band, the Go-Go’s. Belinda and the Go-Go’s were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October 2021.

The Go-Go’s formed in 1978 and released many popular songs including “We Got The Beat” and “Our Lips Are Sealed” before disbanding in 1985. The disband of the Go-Go’s saw the beginning of Belinda’s success solo career. Belinda’s career has seen a release of eight studio albums with many fan favourite songs “Heaven Is a Place on Earth”, “Mad About You” and “Circle in the Sand”.
