Guns N’ Roses was born in 1985 by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin in Los Angeles and have since made history around the world. Original band members included Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin, Steve Adler, Matt Sorum, Dizzy Reed, and Gilby Clarke.

The band released their first EP in 1986, and a year later released their debut album Appetite for Destruction after signing with Geffen. Guns N’ Roses following began to build for the numerous live shows they were performing, although the album didn’t sell well until about a year later.

Once MTV started playing ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine,’ the single and album shot to number one and Guns N’ Roses became one of the biggest bands in the world. Two of their singles, ‘Welcome to the Jungle,’ and ‘Paradise City,’ were re-released and shot to the top of the charts.

Guns N’ Roses began working on a follow up album to Appetite for Destruction in the 1990’s. Matt Sorum replaced Alder in October of that year, due to drug related issues. Dizzy Reed was also a new addition to the band, playing the keyboard during recording. One album then turned into two and Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II were released in September 1991.

Guns N’ Roses continued to make headlines in the rock music scene and are now considered one of the greatest bands of all time.
