If you’re looking for a change or new vibe to sink your teeth into, Ocean Alley is the band for you. Their infectious, psychedelic-surf-rock has captivated fans all over the world and has solidified them as one of Australia’s most exciting touring acts. 

Hailing from the Northern Beaches in Sydney, they formed in 2011 playing in a backyard shed and performing gigs at local venues. Their first EP Yellow Mellow, released in 2013, brought with it a steady stream of adoring fans not only at live performances but online as well. In 2014 and into 2015, you could catch the boys touring around Australia multiple times, gradually building up their audience following everywhere they went.  

Their touring success led the band to record their debut studio album Lost Tropics at the end of 2015. They returned to the road in 2016 selling out their East Coast Australian Tour in support of the release of Lost TropicsThings didn’t end there, the boys got busy in 2016 with 40 shows across Europe and appearances at Lost Paradise, Rhythm & Vines and Soundsplash Festival.  

In 2017, they supported acts such as Tash Sultana and The Cat Empire while also performing at Groovin’ The Moo and The Hills Are Alive. Their song ‘Confidence’ took out the #1 spot on the triple j Hottest 100 list in 2018 and their second album Chiaroscuro was voted #2 on triple j’s 2018 album of the year listener poll and hit #11 on the ARIA Charts.

The Latest: 

June 2020 has seen the release of Ocean Alley’s new album Lonely Diamond. The album features the singles ‘Hot Chicken’, ’Tombstone’, ‘Infinity’ and ‘Stained Glass’. 

You can see Ocean Alley live on their 2021 Australia Tour where they will be playing Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide in Feb/Mar. They will be supported by the Psychedelic Porn Crumpets.
