It is in this vein that Global Citizen and the European Commission announced ‘Global Goal: Unite For Our Future’. It is a campaign created to coordinate the development of COVID-19 tests, treatments and vaccines and to ensure equitable access to everyone, everywhere.
Global leaders and philanthropists from around the world have united in this shared goal. “[COVID-19] has reminded us that we’re all connected – by our health and by our common humanity—and that we all have a role to play in building a healthier, more equitable future.” Said Bill and Melinda Gates, Co-Chairs of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
In conjunction with this, some of the world’s biggest artists and entertainers have pledged their support including Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus, Chris Rock, Hugh Jackman, Lady Gaga and many more.
“At a time when we’ve seen injustices in our society increase even more, we now have the opportunity to take a stand for equality and health for all,” Cyrus said.
