The ISPS HANDA Australian Open is one of the oldest and most storied golf tournaments in the world, and it is back bigger than ever!
After a two-year hiatus for the pandemic, the Open comes to the famous Melbourne Sandbelt from 1-4 December and for the first time, it is a mixed event.
Men and women will play the revered Victoria and Kingston Heath courses on the Sandbelt at the same time competing for the Stonehaven Cup and Patricia Bridges Bowl, as the event becomes the first national Open in the world to go mixed.
Not only that, but the event also includes the Australian All Abilities Championship for golfers with a disability, where 12 of the world’s best players assemble to compete for the Championship trophy.
The 2022 British Open Champion Cameron Smith leads the list of featured players coming to Melbourne in December, along with major winner Hannah Green, legendary Karrie Webb AO, former US Open Champion Geoff Ogilvy, European and US Tour winner and hometown boy Lucas Herbert and US Tour veteran Marc Leishman, and with a DP World Tour co-sanctioning agreement some of the best in the world will be in Melbourne for the week.
This is an event not to be missed! With some of the world’s best golfers gathering, what better way to watch champions like Cam Smith tee it up than with the Premium Experiences available around the 18th hole at Victoria Golf Club.
In the Champions Club marquee you’ll enjoy elevated views of the 18th green, free flowing beer, wine and soft drinks, and all-day grazing. It’s the ultimate way to watch all the action take place! Or, take it up a notch and book a table in the Bridges Club, featuring a bird’s-eye view of the 18th green and daily player appearances.
