With only 2 weeks to go, Cirque Bon Bon, the brainchild of former Cirque Du Soleil Assistant Creative Director Ash McCready and world-renowned choreographer Julieann Nugent blends beauty with bravery in an extravaganza of light, sound and acrobatics for three nights only at the Powerhouse this December.

Creative (pregnant) Producer Ash McCready is also racing the clock to deliver this show before she delivers her baby! “I’ll be 36 weeks when we open the show, so as long as he doesn’t make his debut before mine, we will be ok!”

Taking all their learnings from over 20 years in the industry, the show’s two Creative Producers are aiming for one response.

“That moment where you hear the crowd gasp in awe, all at once, right as the music stops and the act reaches its climax — that’s the magical moment,” they say.

I’ve taken shows like this all over the world for the last 10 years,” says McCready, “and we’re using every last trick in the book to make this show something you just can’t look away from.”

Following on from a sold-out run at the Noosa Alive 2021 festival in July, the duo has assembled an all-star cast of contortionists, acrobats and dancers who have performed on Broadway, Las Vegas, the high top tents of Cirque Du Soleil to London’s West End and the Sydney Opera House. Hosted by the internationally acclaimed comedy hosts Mario QUEEN of the Circus this is one show you simply cannot miss!

It’s a mix that’s set to transform the Powerhouse stage into a cauldron of excitement, drama and hilarity from floor to ceiling for the full 90 minutes.

Asked to describe what a first-time cirque audience member should expect this December, the Creative Producers recall a quote from an audience member at the Noosa show.

“They described Cirque Bon Bon as ‘Cirque Du Soleil meets a Queen rock concert with beautiful dancers’.”

“We think that’s a pretty good summary!” they said.
