The World Premiere Comedy S.O.S Series is back this Saturday bringing another comedian straight to your living room.

Last Saturday our all-time favourite comedian Arj Barker presented his latest stand-up special ‘We Need to Talk’, streamed directly to your home., with all his profits donated to Beyond Blue.

We couldn’t get enough of Arj, so we asked him a few of our burning questions to see what he’s been up to during lockdown and what we could look forward to from his show We Need To Talk.

How did you first get into comedy and how did you first realise you were ‘funny’?

I just signed up for an amateur night, and dove right in. Thinking you’re funny isn’t really a constant state – sometimes you think you are, other times you ain’t so sure! (like when your partner is shooting you daggers after what thought was a hilarious comment)

Have you had any really embarrassing comedy moments?

Yes, a few. Once in Adelaide my zip was down and i wasn’t wearing underwear. Luckily that was the late 70’s so all they saw was fur.

Have you found yourself doing any bizarre activities during lockdown?

Not unless you consider sleeping a lot and playing Call of Duty all day bizarre.

With restrictions all over Australia where do you currently go to get your comedy fix?

I’ve been enjoying a very silly show called Norsemen, on Netflix. We had seen all of Vikings and The Last Kingdom so, this was a logical next step. Its comedy though, while the others aren’t. I think it’s good to watch in that order though as Norsemen is a parody of those shows.

What can we expect to see from your show We Need to Talk?

I think you will have more than a few good laughs, and maybe even agree with some of the eloquent points I make in it. But for sure the first one!
