You can’t talk about the Australian Country music scene without talking about Catherine Britt. Considered one of Country’s greatest female vocalist, Catherine’s journey is as varied and broad as the music she makes. From her humble roots in Newcastle all the way to the shining lights of music city in Nashville TN, Catherine was signed to the infamous RCA Records at the age of 17. This opportunity gave her invaluable experience as a musician and insight into the machinations of the industry.

Catherine returned to Australia in 2009 and released her debut full length album “Dusty Smiles and Heartbreak Cures” which was the first of five consecutive albums nominated for CMAA Album of the Year. The accolades didn’t stop there, along the way Catherine has received five Golden Guitar awards, the CMA Global Artist of the Year award in 2010 and six ARIA award nominations for Best Country Album.

The critical acclaim for her albums and reputation as a performer has seen Catherine tour and perform with some of the biggest names in music, including Sir Elton John, Kasey Chambers, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Kenny Chesney, Steve Earle, Guy Clark, Chris Isaak, Keith Urban and Don McLean whom Catherine will be supporting again on his Australian tour scheduled for August this year.

One of Catherine’s most prolific gifts is her ability to evoke so much emotion when she performs, to connect with the audience on a visceral level. Catherine will leave you spellbound, with just a guitar and that voice.
