As an industry, we are always talking about “the one to watch”, those artists that come along and can shake things up and take the world by storm. Emmagen Rain encapsulates that sentiment perfectly. It is hard to believe that Emmagen is only 13 years old. She has a powerful voice and a maturity that makes her formidable. You probably know Emmagen from her appearance on this latest season of “The Voice” as a member of Team Delta (who has just announced her Bridge Over Troubled Dreams tour), who turned her chair after being blown away by Emmagen’s Blind Audition cover of ‘Somethin’ Bad’ the duet made famous by Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood.

Emmagen’s story started long before The Voice, she began singing & songwriting at nine years old when she first heard The Cranberries’ “Zombie” who’s music and message inspired the young artist. In 2018, Emmagen won the People Choice Award at Tamworth’s Country Music Festival Busking Championship and picked up the 2020 win at Tamworth’s Coca Cola Battle of the Young Stars. In 2019, Emmagen also won the World Junior Karaoke Championships in Las Vegas. It was her song “City Lights Call” that started bringing her a lot of attention. Recorded in Sydney late last year, it held the #1 spot on Triple J’s Unearthed chart for two consecutive weeks. Since signing to ABC Music via a digital distribution deal, “City Light Calling” has become Emmagen’s official debut single.

We saw Emmagen captivate audiences during her time on The Voice and we can’t wait to hear more original music, we think it’s safe to say that we can expect big things from this young artist! We caught up with Emmagen to see how life in iso has been for her with our Quaran-TEN.
