It is hard to believe that it has been 12 years since Jasmine Rae stood on the stage of TRECC in Tamworth and was crowned the winner of Telstra Road to Tamworth. It would be the beginning of an incredible journey that has seen Jasmine grace many stages. Arguably, the best female vocalist in the Australian country music industry, it is this natural talent that has seen Jasmine continually celebrated by her peers and fans alike.
Jasmine is a three-time ARIA nominee, a CMA Global Artist of the Year award recipient and the only female solo artist ever to win the prestigious fan-voted CMC Oz Artist of the Year. Jasmine has recorded chart topping hits with US stars Joe Nichols (“I’ll Try Anything”) and Kellie Pickler (“Bad Boys Get Me Good”) as well as opening national tours for both Brooks & Dunn and Alan Jackson. In 2018, Jasmine supported Granger Smith on his Australian tour.
With four impressive albums under her belt and after five long years we are now being blessed with Jasmine’s 5th studio album “Lion Side”. Due for release on July 24th, you can get a taste of what to expect from the LP, with 6 tracks already available wherever you stream/buy music. From “Right Now” to “Green Light”, “Fraudulent” to “Don’t Do It For The Haters” we are experiencing a whole new dimension to Jasmine Rae.
“I think everyone has a Lion Side and a bit of fight inside of them. This album is letting out that side and all the other sides of me,” said Jasmine. No matter what genre of music an artist makes, when they are honest, raw and true to themselves it breaks through to the listener. This is Jasmine Rae, she is real.

We caught up with Jasmine to see what she has been up to while in quarantine with our Quaran-TEN series:
Activewear all day
Microwave peas and corn with meatless meatballs.
(I know… what are meatballs without meat? yum and easy.) I go there daily even though I eat meat.
Scotch with water
Is frying eggs considered cooking? I do that a lot.
