Get ready to see football stars, influencers and professional esports players go head-to-head in the EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 4 competition series beginning from 25-30 June for Asia. FIFA and EA Sports have teamed up to bring together prominent esports teams from South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and China to compete for the ultimate title. 

Hosted by FIFA, this is an initiative focused on bringing football to more fans around the world and fostering community engagement with a range of special guests and players. Simon Thomas, FIFA Chief Commercial Officer, said: “The FIFA eChallenger Series is another exciting FIFA eSports event. For the first time, EA SPORTS™ FIFA Online 4 fans across Asia will have the chance to watch and engage directly with their favourite football stars, influencers and eSports professionals.” 

The FIFA eChallenger series is made up of four teams with three players each. Match-ups will include 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 games. This event will be streamed live on fifa.gg with players and teams nominated and revealed before the tournament begins.

·      Thailand: 29-30 June 

·      South Korea: 26-28 June 

·      China: 28-30 June 

This announcement comes after FIFA and EA announced a new six-event EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Summer Cup Series to replace the EA SPORTS FIFA 20 Global Series and FIFA eWorld Cup 2020. The new event will feature top players from across Europe, Asia, South America, Oceania, North America and Middle East-Africa. The Summer Cup Series will have a total prize pool of $228,000.
