We could all do with a bit of a giggle right now. Fortunately, Stan has gathered over 20 Aussie stand–up comics to spread laughter their homes to ours in a four-part series, Australian Comedy Lockdown Festival.

Many of these comedians have worked tirelessly to develop their 2020 material only to find themselves with no audiences to deliver it to. Thanks to Stan, their comedy drought and ours is about to come to an end in bathrooms, bathrobes, and kitchens.

Hosts include big name comedians, Wil Anderson, Cal Wilson, Nazeem Hussain and Dave Hughes. Hit Radio and The Project host Tommy Little will be making an appearance along with Zoe Coombs Marr, Geraldine Hickey, Dilruk Jayasinha, Steph Tisdell, Aaron Chen, Sam Campbell, Michelle Brasier, and Nath Valvo. New additions include Tom Ballard, Randy Feltface, Claire Hooper, Becky Lucas, Sam Taunton, Nikki Britton, Demi Lardner and Tom Walker. Finally, exciting emerging talents Lauren Bonner, Oliver Twist, Blake Freeman and Bec Charlwood will feature in the series.

We are so excited to sit back, relax and enjoy four nights of comedy to pop the isolation anxiety bubble. When you’re laughing awkwardly alone in your living room, remember all of Australia will be laughing along too. Let’s support our Aussie comedians so we can see them back and better than ever IRL in 2021.

Mark your calendars, this new four-part comedy special will premiere on May 9 at 7pm AEST on the Stan streaming platform.
