It looks like party boy Post Malone is making a quick career change from music to elite sports. According to files obtained by TMZ, a trademark for the name “World Pong League” has been submitted by Post and his team.

Looking to create a legit beer pong competition, the paperwork apparently states that tournaments, comps, events and exhibitions will use the name. Of course, a musician wouldn’t create something without merch, with glassware, plastic cups, cup racks, pong balls and sportswear rumoured.

Although a stretch from his regular day job, Post’s new venture is the definition of an Aussie house party and perfectly describes the artist. Following his ‘shoey’ (drinking beer from a shoe) more than once on his Aussie tour, there is no doubting his love for beer.

Not only did a poor fan sacrifice their shoe for Post’s love of beer, he helped host a live streamed beer pong tournament. With an all-star line-up of Machine Gun Kelly, Rob Gronkowski and more, the proceeds from the event were donated to the coronavirus relief efforts.

Now that we think about it, Post Malone is the perfect musician to create a beer pong league with a strong commitment to beer both on and off stage. While there isn’t much more information on the alleged league, we will be keeping our eyes peeled for the when the news drops and keep you up to date.
