As one of our favourite ‘overseas’ comedians that we’ve claimed as our own, we’re excited to see Ross Noble set to tour his ‘Humornoid’ show in October.

In true Ross Noble style, the bio from his web page gives us a clue as to what to expect, “What happens when pure comedy takes human form. What happens when a creature is created and bred to do stand up. Nobody knows because that isn’t a thing. What is a thing is Ross Noble doing a show. You can come and see. This is it.”

We briefly caught up with Ross as he prepares for the shows to see how he’s surviving lockdown, what he’s looking forward to and why he’s not that keen on the 2021 being the year of great Aussie talent!

What have you been doing with yourself during lockdown?

I’ve been doing the same thing to myself I was doing before lockdown but I’ve just got more time to do it.

What are you most looking forward to about performing live again?

The cash (sorry I mean the love of the art).

Have there been any positives to come out of this period for you or the industry?

Several positives but luckily those tests turned out negative in the end.

With the restrictions on international travel set for some time, will 2021 be the year of celebrating great Aussie talent?

As an overseas artist that lives here, let’s hope not!!
