After 14 Rounds of exhilarating netball, the Suncorp Super Netball Finals Series has arrived to bring netball fans the final four teams and final four matches to decide the 2022 champion.

The Finals commences with a mouth-watering Major Semi Final featuring the two standout teams of the 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season: the Melbourne Vixens and West Coast Fever.

The match-up is a re-match of the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final, which saw the Vixens edge the Fever by two goals to claim the club’s third-ever National Netball League Premiership.

Before and since that Grand Final, the Vixens-Fever rivalry has emerged has one of the fiercest in the competition and the next chapter is sure not to disappoint, with the winner of the Major Semi Final booking their place in the 2022 Grand Final.

For the loser, a second chance beckons with a home Preliminary Final to book a spot in the Grand Final via ‘the long way’.

Last week, Netball Australia confirmed that the League would adopt a new Grand Final venue format, with this year’s decider locked in to be hosted at RAC Arena in Perth on Sunday 3 July.

Following the Grand Final venue announcement, Netball Australia CEO Kelly Ryan said: “Having a fixed venue each year will deliver a better overall event experience by maximising attendance in the stands at the Grand Final, and by boosting viewership of the match through Foxtel and Kayo Freebies, for fans around the country.

“For the first time in the history of the Suncorp Super Netball League, prize money will provide a significant financial boost to both Grand Final teams.

This will allow the teams to invest in growth and engagement activities across the broader community.”

If you can’t get to a Finals match, each match of the 2022 Suncorp Super Netball Finals Series is available to watch live and via FOXTEL and KAYO Freebies.
