Ahead of the National Indigenous Music Awards, the top 20 most played Indigenous songs played on Aussie radio has been revealed by the National Indigenous Radio Chart. 

Baker Boy’s Move has taken the number one spot, with three Jessica Mauboy songs and an appearance from 16-year-old rapper The Kid LAROI. 

This year’s virtual National Indigenous Music Awards features an incredible line-up of nominees, with Baker Boy up for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Film Clip of the Year. Miiesha with her new debut album Nyaaringu has been nominated for Album of the Year, Film Clip of the Year and New Talent of the Year.  

Baker Boy’s ‘Meditjin’ was crowned both Song of the Year and Film Clip of the Year.

Archie Roach’s Tell Me Why took out Album of the Year, with Miiesha awarded New Talent of the Year following her three nominations.  

Community Clip of the Year went to KDA Crew and the Indigenous Language Award to Rrawun Maymuru & Nick Wales for ‘Nyapillilngu (Spirit Lady).’ JK-47 was awarded The Triple J Unearthed Award and the Hall Of Fame Inductee for 2020 was Ruby Hunter.
