Aussie juggernaut Morgan Evans has been making waves in the USA. He took his first US #1 with the single Kiss Somebody and followed it up by making everyone want to get “Day Drunk”. He dominated Aussie radio stations and topped the ARIA charts with his album “Things That We Drink To”.
There are no doubts about it, this boy is talented!! Not only is he a killer performer and funny as hell on Instagram, he is a superb songwriter. Morgan has penned many hits not only for himself, but for other artists as well – Dylan Scott’s “Hooked” & Eric Paslay’s “Young Forever”.
While the team here at Insider have been WFH, we may have been 5th level internet stalking when we stumbled across a Soundcloud page called Morg. which turns out, belongs to our beloved superstar Morgan.
The page is home to six tracks including his original demo for “Hooked” – which we think is pretty-damn awesome! Most of the songs on here seem to be demo’s and go back as far as October 2016.
We love all the tracks but our stand out favourite has to be “Tennessee Girl”. Now we can’t tell you how we know this, but rumour has it, that when Rascal Flatts heard this track they wanted to record it themselves. Morgan wouldn’t let it go which gives us hope that he may still record and release this officially in the future!
